Dr Max BylesjöTechnical Director

In his role as Technical Director at Fios Genomics, Max is responsible for the operations team covering project delivery, scientific expertise and strategy. In addition, he oversees the research and development of new analysis methods as well as the IT infrastructure of the company.

A bioinformatician by training, he specialises in the analysis and integration of high-dimensional biological (omics) data in commercial research settings. He is skilled in multi-omics data analysis, systems biology, machine learning and R programming for biomarker discovery and validation.

Max has been with Fios Genomics since September 2012 and joined the Board of Directors in January 2017. Max has a PhD in Chemistry and a MSc in Engineering Biology, both from Umeå University, Sweden. He has previous commercial experience from senior positions with Sistemic Scotland Ltd and Almac Diagnostics Ltd and has authored over 30 scientific papers in high profile journals.
