Lucy KempsellHead of Project Management

Lucy Kempsell joined Fios Genomics in September 2016 in the role of Project Manager and brought a more formal Project Management structure to Fios. A graduate of Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Lucy graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences in 2012. With a profound interest in this rapidly evolving industry, following graduation Lucy spent 4 years managing clinical trials for large pharma companies and contract research organisations before joining Fios.

Lucy’s great experience and wealth of knowledge in the industry has only strengthened over the last six years of working with Fios, where she has fully implemented a Project Management team and grown the department to accommodate our growing operations team and projects.

In recognition of her hard work and talent, Lucy was promoted to Head of Project Management in July 2022. Throughout the last three years, under her own steam, Lucy has gained an MBA with Merit from the Open University, expanding her business knowledge and expertise.
Lucy works closely with our CEO and Technical Director and manages the Project Management team, keeping apprised of daily operations within Fios.
